Animal illustrations are the cutest type of illustrations in my opinion. I am often commissioned to do portraits of pets because I can give them a fairytale fantasy atmosphere. The familiar: a cat, a coup, an extra eye
Project Brief
◦ Genre: Occult Fantasy / Cozy Magic / Funny Adventure◦ Audience: Young Adult / New Adult (Ages 16–25+).◦ The Vibe: Witchy, cozy, and comedic but with a dark occult twist.◦ What I Did: Character design, full splash screen style cover illustration from scratch with a complex perspective, and custom typography.◦ Main Focus: I really wanted to create a narrative-driven world, not just a character. The goal was to place the mystical familiar with its three eyes and glowing magic at the center of a dynamic chase sequence. I focused on making the background as rich and detailed as the cat itself, so the viewer can find a new story every time they look at it.

It’s not easy being a hereditary... Familiar. Yes, that is his actual name. Generations of witches in this eccentric family were always so busy with their grand research that no one ever bothered to give the three-eyed cat a proper name.To be fair, Familiar is a clever, crafty, and delightfully wicked chap. He is also a walking disaster. After a massive fight with his witch-owner, the furry troublemaker decided to make amends in style: break into the Royal Mage Guild’s restricted archive and swipe a rare spell crucial for her vital experiments.The plan was foolproof. Until his paws got in the way.Triggering an epic avalanche of scrolls and fleeing from the royal guards, Familiar grabbed the first scroll with a matching seal. Too bad that instead of ancient magic, the three-eyed saboteur made off with the Grand Mage’s private papers—containing a detailed plot to overthrow the King!Now, the entire royal army is hunting a humble witch and her furry catastrophe. Can Familiar save the crown and, more importantly, survive his owner’s wrath? After all, he still brought back the wrong scroll...
